Description
A magnificent antique Victorian (circa 1891) novelty desk or mantel clock. The clock features an ornate Rococo scrollwork pedestal surmounted by a dramatic winged angel / goddess of Fame holding a long trumpet while poised atop a cloud. The original clock movement is clearly stamped on the back door with three patent dates: PATENTED NOV. 6. 1890, DEC. 23. 1890, JAN. 13. 1891 The cream-colored dial features Roman numerals and a secondary seconds sub-dial. CLOCK MOVEMENT IS UNTESTED - SOLD 'AS-IS'
