• Type: Side Chair / Accent Desk Chair • Style: Victorian / Aesthetic Movement / Eastlake • Era / Date: Late 19th Century (Circa 1875–1885) • Features: Relief-carved bird & grapevine panel, spindle gallery, front brass casters • Seat: Custom needlepoint textile top with pleated blue fabric border trim • Condition: Excellent sturdy antique condition, modernly reupholstered Magnificent antique late Victorian Aesthetic Movement side chair, dating to around 1880. A stellar showcase of Eastlake-era craftsmanship, this statement chair features a highly geometric, architectural frame rich with hand-finished carved details. Original front metal/brass swivel caster wheels. Upholstery & Construction: The chair has been professionally and modernly reupholstered for clean, immediate use. The seat is crowned with a tight, custom multi-color needlepoint floral block pattern on a rich brick-red background, neatly bordered by a pleated dusty-blue fabric skirt and decorative brass tack trim. The underside has been cleanly finished with a modern black mesh dust barrier. Excellent antique condition
