• Style: Art Deco / Flapper Era • Estimated Period: circa 1920s–1930s • Materials: Glass Seed Beads, Silver-Tone Base Metal, Silk/Satin Lining • Object Type: Evening Bag / Clutch / Beaded Purse A mesmerizing and exceptionally well-crafted antique Art Deco micro-beaded evening purse, dating to the height of the 1920s flapper era. The body of the bag is composed of hundreds of tiny, shimmering glass seed beads arranged in a striking pictorial composition. The base of the purse is finished with a wonderful, multi-colored tiered beaded loop fringe that adds beautiful movement. Frame features a functional dual-ball kiss-lock clasp and a matching delicate chain-link handle. Inside, the purse opens to its original cream satin-lined interior, complete with an inset vanity pocket trimmed in contrasting dark red grosgrain ribbon. Overall: Very good antique condition given its age and fragile nature.
