Up for auction is a beautiful, early-to-mid 20th-century antique landscape painting showcasing a romanticized European vista. The scene captures a dramatic, cascading waterfall alongside a sprawling river, flanked by a prominent medieval castle ruin and an arched stone gateway. In the background, majestic, highly detailed snow-capped mountain peaks rise against a soft sky.The artwork features a charmingly stylized, folk-art or amateur aesthetic with heavily textured brushwork. It is signed by the artist "A.A." in the lower right corner. A primary highlight of this lot is its magnificent, original quarter-sawn tiger oak frame.
