Up for auction is a wonderful, highly collectible 25-piece partial dinnerware service manufactured by the historic Nelson McCoy Pottery Company circa 1977. This lot features the highly desired "Canyon" (Canyon Mesa) pattern, which boasts a spectacular retro aesthetic defined by a speckled, golden-tan/brown stoneware glaze and dark, rustic glazed rim borders.Every piece features hefty, thick-walled American earthenware construction built to last a lifetime. The bases of the mugs are fully authenticated with the official interlocking embossed McCoy logo, mold pattern number 1412, and the "USA" origin stamp. There are no structural cracks or major structural chips observed across the glaze. The pottery retains a bright coloration and its smooth, organic finish. Minor variations in the speckling density and dark rim coloring are completely natural to the firing process of late-70s McCoy factory pieces.
