Description
A vintage mid-century sterling silver trumpet-style bud vase crafted by the renowned Fisher Silversmiths (active in New York and New Jersey). The vase features a classic slender, tapering stem that flares into a graceful six-lobed scalloped rim, supported by a weighted domed circular pedestal base.The top of the base features a beautifully crisp, hand-engraved historical presentation inscription commemorating civic service leadership: "PILOT CLUB PRESIDENT ~ 1958-59." The underside of the base is clearly stamped with the official maker's hallmark alongside "FISHER / STERLING / WEIGHTED / 606 The vase is in good vintage condition. The sterling silver surface exhibits a deep, unpolished historic tarnish and oxidation ("patina") throughout, which can be polished to a bright shine if desired by the buyer. Some small dents but no major structural dents or tears to the delicate silver skin are observed. The weighted base remains tightly secured and stable. Sold AS-IS. Weight: 93.17 (weighted base)
