Original vintage miniature landscape oil painting. This diminutive work of art depicts a scenic river or swamp shoreline flanked by dense, vibrant green trees beneath a soft sky. The piece is executed with wonderful impasto texture, giving the foliage and water great depth and tactile character. The painting comes beautifully housed in a classic, substantial molded wood frame with a brilliant gold gilt finish. The back is fully sealed with vintage paper backing. This exquisite little landscape is perfectly sized for a desk easel, bookshelf accent, or a miniature gallery wall display. Condition: The oil painting itself is in excellent condition, with tight paint layers and beautifully preserved colors. The vintage wood frame is structurally sound. There is one small, clean chip to the gold gilt/gesso on the bottom-right front corner (clearly pictured), exposing the white gesso base underneath.
