Description
Antique Eastlake style open-arm parlor chair, dating to the late Victorian era (circa 1880–1890s). This beautiful statement piece perfectly embodies the geometric elegance of the historic Eastlake Movement, making it a stellar addition to any Victorian, Gothic, or eclectic home decor layout. • Rows of delicate, turned wood spindles accenting the backrest sides and arm panels. • Sharp, incised line decorations and geometric openwork corner brackets. • Elegant acanthus leaf reliefs carved directly into the padded armrests. • Turned front legs terminating in their original antique brass and ceramic wheel casters. The chair has been updated in a high-quality, modern textured chenille upholstery in a versatile muted sage green and tan palette, bridging the gap between historical architecture and contemporary comfort. The underside is cleanly sealed with a modern black dust cover cloth, documenting excellent structural maintenance and solid seat support. Very good condition.
