Description
This is a beautiful, authentic Chinese Cloisonné Enamel Baluster-Form Vase dating to the Republic Period (circa 1912–1949). The piece features a vibrant, rich oxblood or brick-red enamel background adorned with meticulously hand-applied brass wires forming a classic repeating scroll/cloud pattern. The main body is decorated with elegant, multi-colored floral sprays, including prominent blue peonies or lotuses complemented by smaller white, pink, and yellow blossoms with green foliage. The neck features a classic green and yellow stylized plantain leaf border, capped off by ruyi-head cloud collars along the flared upper shoulder and foot rim. The interior neck exposes the natural, un-enameled dark reddish-brown oxidation of the authentic underlying copper/brass structure.
