A beautiful, matching pair of authentic antique solid cast iron bookends featuring a detailed high-relief depiction of a triple-mast clipper sailing ship crashing through ocean waves. The design pays homage to the Flying Cloud, the famous 19th-century clipper ship celebrated for its historic speed records.The front of the base features the faint, embossed title "FLYING CLOUD", while the reverse sides have a hollow-back design showcasing a beautiful, naturally aged, dark bronze-toned patinated finish over the raw iron.
