Description
A magnificent 16-inch carved stone obelisk sculpture mounted on a tiered plinth base. Crafted in Italy from rich red jasper/marble featuring bold natural white quartz and grey agate veining throughout. Retains its original circular gold foil sticker on the underside reading "MADE IN ITALY" along with a vintage inventory tag ("ITEM 29164"). An impressive piece of classical Grand Tour style decor for a desk, mantel, or bookshelf. Condition: Good vintage condition overall with vibrant natural color and veining. Has a small chip at the top point. Polished finish shows typical natural stone mineral inclusions and minor edge wear consistent with age and stone carving. Felt backing on underside is intact.
